Odisha registered back-to-back wins in the Inter-State Senior Women T-20 League, annihilating Jammu & Kashmir by eight wickets in their Plate Group-C match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai today. International Madhuri Meheta and her Bolangir district-mate Sarita Meher made notable contributions for the win, scoring 40 and 30 runs respectively.
Put into bat by Jammu-Kashmir captain Meenu Singh Salathia, Odisha compiled a challenging total of 130 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs and then restricted the opposition to 72 for six. Captain Madhusmita Behera was most successful Odisha bowler, taking two wickets for 10 runs. Odisha will play their third league match against Tripura tomorrow.
